We are going to break down what should be happening on a monthly basis. Since there are some differences between contractors some things may be relevant while others may not.
January
Create a detailed marketing list for direct mail efforts. This list should be of new and potential clients who have either contacted you and never purchased or never heard of your company. We suggest you use a company like http://www.melissadata.com/ where you can create a custom list based on income, value of home, location plus many other options. I would suggest creating a list of your ideal client market.
1st Design Postcard.While you are getting your mailing list coordinate with your Footbridge Media consultant your first postcard. We are going to be mailing out a postcard six times to the mailing list that is provided. Regardless of what type of contractor service you have, we will be able to design multiple cards with different messages.
Client Newsletter – If you are already sending this out to your client base, then good for you. If you are not, then start sending it out. If your client base if over 1K consider sending an oversized postcard/newsletter instead. Your Footbridge Media consultant will design this for you. When sending your newsletter via direct mail begin asking past clients for email addresses. Ask current clients for emails as well. Add an email line on all proposals, estimates, and surveys. This way you can transition your direct mail newsletter to your online version.
Building Your Arsenal – This month we are also begin creating your arsenal, which includes doorhangers, business cards, letterhead, job signs, flyers, testimonial sheets etc. Please contact your Footbridge Media consultant on what you need.
In regards to online marketing, if you are Footbridge Media client there is little you have to worry about or are already in discussion about implementing certain things. Please make sure to read our article about social media networks.
Our only suggestions are below.
Create Google Adwords Account – We suggest you attempt to do this yourself if you have someone dedicate to monitor it on a daily basis. Your Footbridge Media consultant can assist you with implementing this as well. If you do not have someone dedicated we do not suggest using some of the large PPC firms. We do know of someone that can assist and manage this, so please contact us you are interested.
Google Local Directory – Please read this article today.
Company Vehicles – Are they clean? Is your company name phone number and website prominent on the vehicle? If not, get it done.
Strategic Alliance Marketing – Begin to collect data on companies you want to partner with. Once data is complete make sure to contact them via direct mail. You can read more about this in our Strategic Alliance report.
Write 1 Article – Why Should Someone Use Your Service Today? Answer that question. Do not worry about grammar, style. Just answer the question and give at least 10 points on why a homeowner in today’s environment should be using your service. Send to your Footbridge Media consultant to rewrite and distribute.
