Home Visions West Launches Home Performance with ENERGY STAR(r) in The Hillsboro, Oregon area

Hillsboro, OR May 30, 2006 –Home Visions West announced today the launch of Home Performance with ENERGY STAR(r) in the Hillsboro area. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR uses a whole-house approach to improve homes of any style or size and reduce energy use by up to 40 percent to combat rising energy costs.

With the U.S. Department of Energy and other industry experts predicting a significant increase in cooling costs this summer, Hillsboro homeowners may face sharply higher air conditioning bills. Recent projections indicate increases of up to 50% to cool homes this season.

“The Home performance Program is a perfect fit for Oregon households that will need a helping hand this summer to cut energy bills,” said Home Visions West President Paul Case. “Homeowners who take advantage of this program in conjunction with our own weatherization program can realize significant energy savings as soon as this summer.”

With this new program, Home Visions West contractors take a unique, comprehensive approach to home energy usage that looks at the whole house, not just one room or single problem area.

“Homeowners are increasingly savvy about energy efficiency. With an ENERGY STAR whole-house retrofit consumers can reduce their total energy costs by 30 percent or more,” said Case. “Finding and sealing air leaks, evaluating the heating and cooling system and upgrading to ENERGY STAR lighting are just a few areas where our company can add value.”

Under the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Program, Home Visions West, a Building Performance Institute (BPI)-certified contractor will conduct a Comprehensive Home Assessment to test a home’s energy performance. During the assessment, our contractors will test the home for air leakage using a blower door and look for opportunities to improve the home’s insulation, heating and cooling systems, windows, appliances and lighting. Our contractors also inspect and test combustion appliances such as heating equipment, ovens and water heaters to make sure dangerous combustion gases like carbon monoxide are not leaking into the home. When the assessment is complete, we will identify what improvements can be made, the cost of making those improvements and what kinds of financial incentives are available, such as low-interest financing to homeowners who decide to have the improvements made.

In addition to high energy bills, people living in homes that have inefficient heating and cooling systems, insufficient or improperly installed insulation, and air leaks may not be getting the comfort they are paying for. Many homes have rooms that are too hot or cold or have drafts, poor indoor air quality, and ice build-up on the roof that can cause structural damage. These are common signs that the house is not sealed, insulated or heated properly. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR contractors are not only trained to identify these issues, they have the expertise to correct them as well.

About Home Visions West – Home Visions West has improved over 5000 homes in just the past twenty years of serving Hillsboro and the surrounding areas. Our job is to provide you with a completed home remodeling project, and advise you on ways to save money, without cutting essential costs. You can find out all the information on their website.

If you do plan to go, you can actually save $500 simply by using the following promotional code: c4ca4238

Footbridge Media is not receiving any rewards for mentioning the conference. We just believe it may be worth the value to our clients and members to spend two days listening to some sales experts. I know of a lot of clients who believe and use Phil Rea’s system regularly.

Contractor Directory

May 24th, 2006 by Aaron O'Hanlon

We have recently added a contractor directory to our main corporate website. This was built in order to assist new websites .

It is our personal theory that if a website has been on the Internet for awhile, but does not get any ranking or search results, simply by modifying the site and adding strong optimization they will see immediate results. This is unlike when we launch a brand new domain, that has never been on the web. The contractor directory will speed up the process of the search engines indexing these new sites, plus add relevancy and increase Page Rank for current clients.

If you have any suggestions for the directory, please contact your marketing consultant.

Jefferson City Handyman

May 19th, 2006 by Aaron O'Hanlon

Another site we launched this week was for Kirchhoff Handyman Solution, a Jefferson City Handyman and power washing company.

Unlike new sites, this was a complete redesign and we added about 30 pages of services and different programs that the company markets to. The site was optimized and submitted earlier this week, and as of today is already displaying in YAHOO in the top search results.

It has been through my experience, that doing a redesign of a website, will rank quicker than launching a brand new website.
